Undersea Pumpkins

As I grow my design skills, I'm attempting new things and I am super proud of these!  You guys know I love my pumpkins and this is the perfect marriage of coastal and pumpkins.  There are four options: Octopus, Crab, Starfish or All three. 

Each of them has a pumpkin and a stand that I've made to look like the floor of the ocean.  I painted them to look like seaglass as I like all the colors, but you could make them look like rocks as well.  

Octopus:  The octopus is wrapped all around the pumpkin and stands 7.8" tall and 9.2" wide.  He is three layers with a solid back layer that I've scored with the same design you see on the front - just in case you display some place you see the back.  The main front layer is cut into different pieces to give you the dimension the cutting provides as well as make it easier to paint.  The top layer includes two legs and seaweed.  

Crab:  The crab is hanging on to the pumpkin stem.  The pumpkin stands 7.4" tall and 6.5" wide.  The back of the design is solid and does have a scoring with the same design you see on the front - ust in case you display some place you see the back.  The main front layer is cut into different pieces to give you the dimension the cutting provides as well as make it easier to paint.  The top layer includes the crab shell and the sharks eye shell.  

Starfish:  The starfish is hugging the pumpkin and the entire piece is 5.5" tall land 6.2" wide. This design is three layers with a solid back layer that I've scored with the same design you see on the front - just in case you display some place you see the back.  The main front layer is cut into different pieces to give you the dimension the cutting provides as well as make it easier to paint.  The top layer has the seaweed.

I've used stains to paint these samples.  I used colors from the Autumn and Fall stain kits.  I mixed a few colors to get different shades.  You can use any paint or stain you love on these kits.
